System Tray Mode

TK8 Backup has possibility to run in the system tray mode. In system tray, it continues running and making scheduled backups just as in normal mode. The program is hidden from the Windows task bar and accessible when you click on its icon on the system tray area, near to the system clock:

You can go to the system tray mode by using the Tools menu or pressing F12 on your keyboard. Also, if set in options, TK8 Backup can go to tray mode automatically after started.

 

When you click on TK8 Backup tray icon, the menu appears where you can start different backups of your tasks. Backups can be started with or without comment:

To restore the normal main window mode (for example to add or edit tasks), click on the icon and select "Open TK8 Backup" from the appearing menu. Also, you can press system wide hotkey on your keyboard (by default Ctrl + Alt + B).
