TK8 Backup has an easy to understand user interface you can see below:

You can use a menu and toolbar buttons (1) to access different commands and utilities built in to the program. Backup tasks, which are work descriptions for the program, can be seen on the task list (2). To add or edit tasks, use the toolbar button or the Tasks menu. Recent backups for the selected task can be seen on the bottom panel (3).

 

In addition, you can right-click with your mouse on the task and recent backups list to open different kind of pop up menus for quick actions.

 

 

Changing column position and size

 

Task list has default widths and positions for every column. But this can be changed. To change the size of a column, move the mouse cursor to the end of the column header name, until a cursor takes a sizing shape. Then click the left mouse button, hold it down and move the mouse to left or to right until you get the column width you want. Then release a mouse button.

To change the position of some column, left click on the column header and hold the button down. Then move the column to the position you want and release a button.

 

 

Sorting tasks

 

To sort tasks in the list by some column, just click on the column header. A rectangle appears showing the sort order. The second click on the already sorted column header will reverse the sorting order. So it is possible to sort tasks ascending or descending, depending how you would like to see the list.

It is also possible to sort the list by more than one column. To add sorting to additional columns, hold down the SHIFT key on the keyboard when clicking on the additional column header.

 

 

Quick search

 

If you have a lot of tasks, then to find some of them quickly, just start typing on your keyboard and the closest match is located immediately. The locate is made by the column with currently selected cell.
