- Is the program Windows Vista Compatible?
At the moment, TK8 Contact will work under Windows Vista when you run it as the Administrator. So it is not fully Windows Vista compatible yet. We are working on this and will release a new version in the near future.

- Can multiple users work with the same database over the network?
Yes, of course. The program supports multiple users. In case needed, it also has a user permission system built in.

Yes, you can use the program over the Internet, using Remote Desktop technology (which is built in to every Windows). With Remote Desktop, you can enjoy all the benefits and speed the program has, and use it from any Internet connected computer.

- The program is a bit slow. How to improve the performance?
The main reason for the program to work slowly is when your firewall or virus protection utility are scanning the database folder actively. If everything written or read are scanned immediately, it can indeed slow things down. If you exclude the database folder from the active scan list, it will increase the performance.
Also, in the multi-user mode, when the program is communicating with different computers, you need to enable ports 12005 and 12006 in your firewall. The program is using these ports to change the data between users. If those ports are blocked, the program can not work properly and can be extremely slow. If you white list TK8 Contact (or at least those two ports), the program should work fine.

- Do I lose my data when I enter the license key or re-install?
No, of course not. You can just re-install and all your data and settings will stay in place.

To upgrade, please let us know. We'll email you the directions and a link you can use to pay for the upgrade. The upgrade price is the difference of your new license and the old license.

- Do I need to uninstall the old version before I install the new version?
- My license key does not work... Why, and what to do?
1) Please check if the license key we sent to you and the one you entered are matching exactly (including the upper and lower cases, commas, spaces, etc.).
2) What version do you have and are you sure the license key is for that version? It might be that you are using an older version and the license key is generated for the new version. In that case, please download and install the latest version.
